ALROSA’s Barnaul polishing factory to double output soon

MOSCOW, Nov 30 (PRIME) -- The Barnaul diamond polishing factory of Russian diamond mining giant ALROSA plans to double output very soon, the Altai Region’s Industry and Energy Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.

“Although we have reached peak production given the resources that we have in 2022, we plan to grow in production and technologies,” Alexander Rout, head of ALROSA’s Barnaul division, said as quoted by the ministry.

“The factory’s task for the several coming years is to double the amount of products we make.”

In 2021, ALROSA united its polishing assets located in Smolensk, Moscow, and Barnaul on the basis of Smolensk facility Kristall.
